Why Should I Keep An Agenda Book?

What is an agenda book anyway?
It's just a date book, with space below each day in the year to write things. Sometimes they go by calendar year, but you can find some made up specifically to follow the school year.

What things do you write each day?
That's really up to you. It's your own personal organizer, so write whatever helps you keep track of what's going on in your school life, and in the rest of your life as well.

Give me some examples.
The most important thing it can keep track of is homework assignments. Every time you are given an assignment, you can write it in your agenda book on the date it is due. This is especially helpful when you are in high school and college and you have many different classes and many different assignments. You can also write in dates of tests or field trips. You can use the agenda as a journal, recording the highlights of each day.

Should anyone else use my agenda book?
That depends on the school, and in many cases, on the grade you are in. Teachers and parents often use some space to communicate with each other, but this is usually just at the elementary school level.

What sort of things could I put in there that aren't school related?
It's your space, so whatever is important to you should go in there. Birthdays of your friends and family, sporting or cultural events you partipate in or watch, upcoming vacations, whatever you choose.

So tell me, what's the main reason why I should keep an agenda book?
Organization. When you want to remember when a report is due, or whether tomorrow's quiz is in Math or Physics, just flip open your agenda book and it will be all there in front of you.
