Who is the Homework Notebook? Glad you asked! Homework Notebook is run by Cathy Spalding. For many years, Cathy ran the Homework and Study Tips site at About.com. They eventually chose to refocus their site to appeal more to older students, so Cathy started up Homework Notebook. This site includes much of the content that was previously on the About.com site, along with an always growing number of new articles. These appeal to students of all ages, including their parents and teachers and anyone else who is interested in helping them.

Cathy is also the author of the book The Everything Guide to Writing Research Papers. She has written on a wide variety of subjects for other websites such as Suite101, b5media, and the now-defunct All Info About, and has a number of magazine articles to her credit. She currently runs a local newspaper in the small town where she lives.

With four kids of her own, Cathy has the life experience to help her to help you study better. "Everybody has different needs when it comes to tackling their homework. While many of the basic study skills will help everyone, often you need to try a few different tactics to see what really works for you. But whatever your problems, we're here to help."
